Descriptions

Pumps and compressors are important equipment in factory operations. This training will provide an exotic understanding and practice for pump and compressor technicians who focus on equipment selection; Type, Unit and station configuration; and integration of these units in the scheme process and strategy control in the facility.

 

Objectives

After this training, participants are expected to:

1. 1. Choose the right integrated pump and compressor unit (drivers, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems)
   2. Integrate pumps or compressor units with upstream and downstream pipelines and process equipment
   3. Evaluate pump and compressor units and their drivers in several train, parallel and series configurations
   4. Identify key local and remote control elements of pumps and compressors and their drivers
   5. Defines major life cycle events, such as changes in flow, fluid composition, and operating conditions that can influence equipment selection and operation strategies
   6. Assess key hydraulic pump and compressor thermodynamics, and their effect on selection and operation
   7. Identify significant refrigeration operation monitoring parameters and problem-solving techniques.

   2. Evaluation and Selection of Pumps and Compressors, and Their Drivers for Long-Term Efficient Operations
   3. Unit and Station Configuration Including Multiple Trains in Series and / or Parallel Operations
   4. Integration with Upstream and Downstream Process Equipment, Local and Remote Control Systems, and Facilities Utilities
   5. Key Auxiliary Systems Including Monitoring Equipment, Heat Exchangers, Lube and Seal Systems, and Fuel / Power Systems
   6. Major Design, Installation, Operating, Troubleshooting, and Maintenance Considerations
